What was Snoop Dogg doing at the Olympics?

What was Snoop Dogg doing at the Olympics?

Written by: Karel Michiels

Snoop Dogg, the American rapper and cannabis hero, is popping up all over Paris. He is making television there, fraternizing with athletes and hanging out with other celebrities. The Snoop Dogg pin is already a sought-after collector's item.

The pin shows Snoop Dogg (Calvin Broadus Jr.) blowing out smoke in the shape of the five Olympic rings, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. So an obvious reference to Snoop's smoking habits, but that's not really a topic in the coverage of his stay in Paris. Except perhaps the obligatory joke that in the discipline of blowing, he would surely take gold.

Dancing horses

As NBC's "extraordinary correspondent," Snoop Dogg got to carry the Olympic flame for a bit. He went to watch beach volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, swimming, skating and dressage, in the gardens of the Château de Versailles. There he also met his favorite horse Suppenkasper ("Mopsie"), who can dance to EDM. No joke.

Weed cake

Snoop was usually in the company of Martha Stewart, with whom he once made cannabis cake on her popular cooking show. The two have become true friends and do appear on screen together more often.

The idea of taking Snoop Dogg to the Olympics matured after he teamed up with comedian Kevin Hart to provide hilarious commentary on equestrian competitions in 2021. Snoop has also since voiced some National Geographic docuos and commented on a boxing match.
